NuGrape Lofts is located in the Poncey-Highland neighborhood, which is bordered by the neighborhoods of Virginia-Highland, Inman Park, Druid Hills, and Midtown. This is a vibrant part of town with lots of new development in addition to existing neighborhood business districts. The new Ponce Park multi-use development will convert City Hall East into 182,610 sq. ft. of retail space, 154,380 sq. ft. of office space, and over 1,100 new residential units. Development on this project is scheduled to begin this summer. [Get more info.] There are several existing neighborhood business districts in the vicinity, including Highland Row, Little Five Points, and all the great shops and restaurants along North Highland. Nearby Midtown Place (just a few blocks away on Ponce de Leon across from City Hall East) gives you easy access to Whole Foods, Home Depot, and Borders as well as a wide variety of other shops and restaurants. A short drive takes you to the new Edgewood Retail District (just past Little 5 Points) where you'll find 500,000 sq. ft. of retail including major national chains such as Lowes, Target, Barnes & Noble, and Best Buy.

The land behind the building is part of a parcel being purchased by The Trust for Public Land to become one of the largest parks on the proposed beltline.
